Why is my PC running poorly after installing a 9070 graphics card?

I recently installed a 9070 graphics card in my PC, but now I'm facing some major performance issues. After a fresh installation of Windows 11, my system is crashing, games have low FPS, and even basic web browsing feels slow. I tried using DDU to reinstall the drivers and turned off the integrated graphics in the BIOS, which seemed to help for a while, but when I woke up the next day and tried to play a game, performance dropped again. Typing is laggy, and my mouse movement is sluggish too. What can I do to resolve these issues?

Make sure you're connecting your monitor through the DisplayPort or HDMI on the GPU and not the motherboard. Also, check your CPU performance in Task Manager. If it’s running at a super low speed (like 1-2GHz), that could be a problem. What do your CPU, RAM, and GPU usages look like?

Thanks for the tip! I'm using a DP cable from the GPU to the monitor. Right now, CPU is at 23% utilization and running at 4.17GHz, memory is 32GB DDR5 at 22%, disk NVME is 3%, and GPU is at 13%.

Have you tried launching DDU in safe mode? You really need to do that for a full clean uninstall of the drivers. It can make a big difference.

Yes, I did run DDU in safe mode.
