Hey everyone, I've been having a strange issue with my PC. This morning, it started shutting down completely just a few minutes after I turn it on. The first time it stayed on the longest, but the next two attempts barely lasted a minute. I tried again a few hours later, and it seemed to stay on a bit longer initially but then shut off quickly during the next attempt. I've been meaning to replace some parts for a while now but haven't gotten to it. Can anyone help me figure out what might be causing these shutdowns? Any tips on how to test things before I order new components? Here's my build info:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X (2022)
- Motherboard: ASUS ROG Strix B450-F Gaming II (2022)
- RAM: Team T-FORCE VULCAN 16GB (2022)
- GPU: EVGA GeForce RTX 2060 SC Gaming (2020)
- HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB (2013)
- SSD: Crucial M500 125GB (2013)
- PSU: Corsair 750W (2013)
- Liquid Cooling: Corsair Hydro Series H55 (2013)
- Case: Antec Eleven Hundred (2013)

It sounds like your power supply might be the culprit, especially considering the age of your components. If the PSU fan isn't spinning, or it's heating up too much, that could definitely cause those shutdowns. Have you checked if the fan in the PSU is working properly? It could be overheating and shutting itself off to prevent damage.
Yeah, the PSU fans are tricky to see based on how it's installed. Here’s a pic of mine—definitely dusty! Maybe we both need a clean-up.
