Why is my PC slower after upgrading to Windows 11?

I've recently updated my PC from Windows 10 to Windows 11 after support for the former ended, and I'm facing some serious performance issues. My computer is booting more slowly and operating much less efficiently compared to how it ran on Windows 10. I upgraded my RAM to 32GB of DDR4 3600MHz and switched to a Ryzen 5 5600X, which should have improved my performance, but it feels slower overall. I had 16GB of 2666MHz RAM and a Ryzen 5 3600 before, and it worked faster with Windows 10 than my current setup does with Windows 11. Since I've already deleted the old Windows 10 files, I'm left wondering if a clean install of Windows 11 would help. What do you all think could be causing these slowdowns?

Doing a full cleanup install could really help you. I've shifted several systems to Windows 11 without major slowdowns, but I did notice some performance loss on certain setups. If your games and apps are lagging after the upgrade and you're only on SSDs, a fresh install might sort things out. After that, you could assess how your system performs.

I immediately felt a performance drop after the upgrade too. Apps frequently freeze, and games take forever to open, even on SSD.
