Why is my PC so slow after upgrading to Windows 11?

I recently formatted my PC and updated to Windows 11, and now it feels nearly unusable. Every action I try, whether it's opening Edge, launching a game, or even booting up, takes several minutes. I've updated all my drivers, disabled unnecessary features and background apps, but nothing seems to help. My PC specs are: Core i7 10700K 3.80 GHz, Radeon 5700xt, 32GB DDR4 RAM, and 2TB storage. Since I formatted, there's very little installed apart from the Radeon drivers, a few games, and the usual Windows 11 bloatware. I'm considering using a debloating tool but want to make sure it's necessary first. Any advice?

If you're thinking about debloating, that's a valid route. Just be careful with what you remove; some things might actually be helpful. Consider checking out some guides specific to Windows 11 debloating.

Make sure you have backups before you start removing anything!

It sounds like something went wrong during your upgrade. Have you tried doing another clean install of Windows 11? Make sure to follow a guide for that; sometimes a fresh start fixes a lot. Also, check if you're running on an SSD, as Windows 11 performs much better on them compared to HDDs.

I’m using an SSD, but I have other installations on slower HDDs. That might be the issue!

I don't have any issues with my older PC running Windows 11, so it might be something specific to your setup. Double-check that you're using an official ISO or a reliable source for installation; that makes a big difference!
