I've noticed my PC is running super slow in my college apartment, and it's really frustrating. I've had similar issues at home, but I thought that was just because I was far from the router. Here, though, I'm much closer to the Wi-Fi, yet the speed is still not what I expect. I'm starting to suspect there might be something wrong with my computer. Is there anything I can do to troubleshoot or fix this? I really appreciate any help!

If you're connected via Wi-Fi, check if you're on the 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz band. The 2.4 GHz band is usually slower. You can find this in your Wi-Fi settings. Switching to the 5 GHz band, if you're not already on it, might help.

I'm currently on 5 GHz, but could my data usage be a factor? I've downloaded about 550 GB in the last month, so I'm wondering if that impacts the performance.
