Why is my PC so slow with WiFi when playing games?

I'm having a frustrating issue with my PC's WiFi speed while gaming and browsing. Even simple tasks like searching online are painfully slow, and I consistently get only about one WiFi bar. It can barely run Roblox without extremely high ping (over 12k), which makes everything unplayable. Meanwhile, my phone handles games much better, and my friend on a PS4 loads into games faster than my custom-built $4500 PC. I'm looking for any solutions to fix this WiFi issue. Can anyone help?

Just a heads up—the RTX 4080 Ti isn't actually a thing. Regardless, your graphics card won’t affect your WiFi speed at all, so focus on your network setup. Many factors can disrupt connectivity, and the GPU isn’t one of them.

First off, check if you’ve plugged in the antennas to your WiFi card—those are crucial for decent signal strength. It sounds like you might not be getting the best connection without them!

What do the antennas look like? I wasn’t even aware they were a thing!

It might be worth rolling back your WiFi drivers in device manager. Sometimes, Windows updates mess things up with drivers. You could also try downloading the latest drivers directly from your motherboard or chipset manufacturer for better performance.

Have you thought about using a wired connection? Connecting directly to your router with an RJ45 cable can significantly improve your speed and reduce lag. It's a solid workaround if WiFi's giving you trouble.
