Why is my PC still not booting after replacing the motherboard?

I've been troubleshooting my PC after replacing the motherboard, and I'm still running into issues. I tested my RAM in my brother's PC, and it worked fine. My CPU is brand new, and the GPU is also new. The only things I haven't swapped out are the PSU and possibly the CPU. When I power it on, it initially lights up for the CPU but then immediately switches to the DRAM light. My setup includes a Gaming Plus B550 motherboard, an R5 5500 CPU, an RX 580 GPU, and 24GB of RAM (16GB Teamgroup and 8GB HyperX Fury), all powered by a 500W Aresgame PSU. Any insights would be appreciated!

Just a thought, but the DRAM light indicates something is off with the RAM or its configuration. Make sure you're using the correct RAM slots per your motherboard's manual. If you have multiple sticks, try booting with just one to see if that helps.

I’ll give that a try! I might have misplaced them; I’ll check the manual again.

It sounds like you're having some frustrating boot issues! Since your RAM seems to work elsewhere, I’d lean towards the motherboard or power supply being the culprit. Have you checked all your connections, especially the 24-pin and CPU power cables? Also, consider reseating the RAM; sometimes a loose connection can cause these symptoms. If you’re able to try a different PSU, that could further help narrow down the problem.

That's a good point! I had a similar issue, and swapping out my PSU resolved it. Sometimes even a low-watt PSU can struggle with newer components.
