I built my PC about six years ago and I've been using it almost daily. Recently, I've noticed it's really struggling to keep up with Marvel Rivals. Even when I'm playing with graphics settings scaled down, I only get around 70 fps during intense matches. I can't seem to reach a stable 100 fps no matter what I do. I'm considering upgrades since I finally have some funds, but I'm not sure what components I should focus on changing.

It’s true that Rivals isn’t the most optimized game. But since you’re already dealing with a bit of a bottleneck with your CPU, that’s definitely a place to start. Make sure your BIOS is updated if you go for a CPU upgrade, as that might be necessary for compatibility.
Marvel Rivals is pretty CPU-intensive, and it sounds like your Ryzen 2600X might be holding you back. An upgrade to something like a Ryzen 5 5600 or 5600X could really boost your performance. If you're looking for a budget option, the 5600 is usually the cheapest and gives great performance.
Given that your frame rates are consistently below what you'd expect, I think focusing on the CPU is a smart move. The Ryzen 5 1600X is recommended for Rivals, and while your 2600X is slightly better, it might not be enough for what you’re experiencing. Check your motherboard's compatibility with newer CPUs if you decide to upgrade.

Thanks for the advice! I'll check what my motherboard can handle when I look for a new CPU.
