Why Is My PC Stuttering in Games After Upgrading?

Hey everyone! I'm feeling a bit stuck with my gaming setup. I recently upgraded my graphics card from a GTX 1060 to an Arc B580, but I've been facing a ton of stuttering in nearly every game since then. I thought the stutters might be due to the GPU, so I replaced it with an RTX 5060. Unfortunately, the stuttering persists. I've tried numerous fixes without success. Just to add, I also upgraded my monitor from 1080p to 1440p, which has G-Sync. Here are my system specs:

- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600
- GPU: RTX 5060 8GB
- RAM: 2x8GB at 3200MHz
- Motherboard: ASUS Prime 450BM-A
- PSU: 750W

I've attempted quite a few troubleshooting steps:
- Memory check
- Chipset driver update
- Updated GPU drivers
- Used DDU on the old driver
- Updated BIOS
- Disabled overclocking
- Enabled DOCP/XMP
- Hard reset BIOS CMOS
- Reinstalled Windows
- Updated to Windows 11
- Disabled HAGS
- Turned off variable refresh rate
- Changed Windows power plan
- Disabled Xbox Game Bar
- Tried turning Resizable BAR on and off
- Checked CPU/GPU temperatures
- Swapped display cables
- Reset virtual memory
- Reviewed running processes for outliers
- Used a different HDD/SSD for gaming

I'm open to suggestions and will even throw in a personal reward for a golden tip! Thanks a ton!

Try checking your GPU temperatures and ensuring airflow is good in your case. Sometimes thermal throttling can cause stutters too. If your RAM and CPU are okay, air circulation might be the key!

Exactly! Also, if you're using a stock cooler like the Wraith Stealth, consider checking CPU temps. If it's been a while since your last thermal paste application, that could be the culprit.

Your CPU might be holding you back a bit with the 5060, especially if there's no frame cap. Plus, with only 16GB of RAM, you could be hitting limits that cause stuttering. Saving up for a 9600X or 7600X could be worth considering, or even going for a used 5000X3D with 32GB RAM if you're looking for a budget option.

I appreciate the advice! Before the GPU swap, everything ran perfectly fine. I mainly play older games that don't require much RAM or CPU power.

Have you considered turning off Resizable BAR? It actually improved my FPS drops when I did that. Give it a shot and see if it helps with your stuttering!

Thanks for the suggestion! I tried turning it off, but unfortunately, it didn't make a difference.
