I'm having a frustrating issue with my PC where it suddenly loses internet access. I know the common advice is to restart the modem or router, but I suspect that's not the main problem here. In the past, restarting my modem helped a bit, but I still experienced significant lag. Recently, I came across an old Reddit thread suggesting I type something into Windows that restarts a network component, but now my internet doesn't work at all. Sometimes I can connect but experience lag. Can anyone help me figure this out?

Did your PC have internet access before? If it didn't, consider picking up a USB network adapter to see if that helps!
I have to say, that was quite the run-on explanation! Anyway, there's a built-in network troubleshooter in Windows that can help diagnose the problem. Definitely worth a try to get started on fixing this!
Have you tried resetting your network settings? It can sometimes clear up these types of issues and may get your internet back on track!
So, it sounds like you have inconsistent Wi-Fi, which can be problematic. What's your Wi-Fi antenna like? Also, be sure to check if your Wi-Fi driver is up to date and that the Wi-Fi module isn't disabled in Device Manager.
It did work before! I was gaming just fine until one day it suddenly stopped.
