I built my PC about two years ago, and recently, I've noticed it taking an extremely long time to boot up. When I hit the power button, it can take anywhere from a few seconds to over 20 minutes for the fans to start running and for the system to turn on. I've tried disconnecting and reconnecting the power switch from the motherboard, but it hasn't worked. I'm worried because it seems like the boot time is getting longer each time. Any advice on what could be causing this?

The fans should kick on right away when you power it up. How can you tell it’s turning on if the fans aren’t spinning immediately? It might be tricky to know for sure.
It sounds like you might be dealing with a hardware issue or a problem with your motherboard's BIOS. I recommend starting by trying to update or flash your BIOS to see if that helps. Sometimes an outdated BIOS can cause boot delays.

I realize that can be confusing! The fans eventually do start up after a long wait, so I know it eventually powers on because the fans and RGB lights turn on, and the display comes up on my monitor.
