Why is my PC underperforming despite decent specs?

I've got an RTX 4060 Ti and an i7-12000K with 16GB of RAM, plus an ASUS motherboard. I mostly play Fortnite, but I'm struggling to consistently hit 160 fps, and I notice it drops during gameplay. I feel like I should be able to get more performance out of my setup. Any tips to help me optimize my PC? Also, I'm running Windows 11.

First off, check for driver updates! Also, using a performance analysis tool can help pinpoint any bottlenecks in your system. If you're comfortable, overclocking your graphics card might give you that extra push you need.

Make sure to check your in-game settings and your resolution. If you're running DirectX 12, you might want to try switching to DirectX 11, as it tends to be less demanding and could help with your fps issues. Also, check your BIOS to enable XMP for your RAM if you haven't already.
