Why is my PC’s ping so high despite good download speeds?

I'm having a frustrating issue where the ping on every PC I've built is always really high, even though my download speeds are great. The funny thing is, my ping seems perfectly fine on mobile devices and other tech. I've got antennas installed in my PCs, but I can't use Ethernet. I've attempted network resets and downloaded new WiFi drivers, but nothing seems to work. Any insights?

WiFi can be tricky since a lot of things can interfere with it. Have you considered using powerline adapters? They could help stabilize your connection.

What WiFi cards have you tried using? It's important to ensure you're using a reliable one to minimize latency.

I've been using the Intel WiFi 6E AX211 160MHz.

Just a quick thought—are you sure you're installing the proper vendor hardware drivers for your WiFi card? That can really affect performance!

Location might be a factor. Depending on where you live, I've noticed that pings can be consistently high. It could also be bad drivers or other WiFi issues.

I'm on the east coast of the USA, so my ping is usually around 20-30 on other devices.
