Why Is My PC’s WiFi Connection So Much Slower Than My Other Devices?

I'm struggling with my PC's WiFi connection, which is often very unstable. Most of the time, my download speeds are around 5 Mbps, but sometimes they spike to anywhere between 40 Mbps to 150 Mbps. I've tried using a second WiFi adapter, but it didn't change the speeds or the random disconnections I experience. A friend of mine who lent me both adapters was able to get about 400 Mbps using his phone on the same WiFi network. My setup includes a TP-Link Wireless USB Adapter, an AMD Ryzen 5 5600 CPU, an AMD Radeon RX 6600 GPU, 32GB of RAM, an MSI A520M-A PRO motherboard, and I'm running on Windows 11. If you need any more details to help me figure out the problem, just let me know!

Could you share the model name of your WiFi adapter and your router? Also, is your WiFi router on a 2.4GHz or 5GHz band? The TP-Link wireless USB adapter alone doesn't tell much, and knowing whether you're using an older 2.4GHz setup versus a newer 5GHz one could really help understand your issues better.

My WiFi adapter is a "TP-Link AC1300 Archer T3U 2.4/5GHz MU-MIMO." I also borrowed another one, an "AC600 Mbps Dual Band Internet USB 2.4/5GHz Wireless Receiver Network Dongle with Antenna." Regarding the router, it's 5GHz, but I’m unsure of the model. It's a tall, black Verizon/Fios router that hasn't been updated in a while.
