I've been having this frustrating issue where my phone's battery percentage keeps dropping instead of increasing, even when it's plugged in. It will often stay stuck at 4% and sometimes even shuts down while charging! I could really use your help to figure out what's going on. Oh, and just so you know, I sometimes accidentally fall asleep with it charging, which might be relevant.

First off, put your phone in airplane mode while it charges—this can sometimes help. If that doesn’t work, try turning the phone off entirely and then charging it. Also, if you haven't already, get a different charger to see if that resolves the problem.
How old is your phone? If it’s brand new, it shouldn't be having battery issues, but if it’s been exposed to heat or direct sun too often, that could damage the battery. Also, check if your cable or USB port is damaged since that affects charge, too. If the charge time is estimating more than two hours, that's a sign it’s draining faster than it can charge.
It's from 2023, so I don’t think it's old, and it hasn’t been in the heat.
Think of charging like filling a pool. If you're draining the pool faster than you're adding water (like how you experience the charge dropping), it could mean a bad cable, charger, or even an aging battery. Since your charger is brand new, your battery may be the culprit here.
What if I do have a new charger?
Haha! I love that analogy! Imagine if it was a toilet instead!

I just got a new charger, though! Still no luck.
