Why is my power supply making a clicking noise while gaming?

I've noticed that my power supply unit (PSU), specifically a Riotoro Enigma 850W, starts making a clicking noise when I open a game. The noise lasts for about 10-15 seconds and then stops for 30 seconds before starting again. Interestingly, when I close any game, the noise completely goes away. I can confirm that it isn't coming from the PSU fan since it hasn't begun spinning yet. Any thoughts on what might be causing this?

Another possibility is that the fan is trying to run but could be hitting some wires. It might also have loose bearings or a motor problem. It doesn't seem like an electrical issue, just the noise you'd expect if something is obstructing the fan's movement.

It sounds like the fan might not be spinning, which could be leading to that clicking noise. If that's the case, it's probably best to replace the power supply altogether. Even though changing the fan inside a PSU isn't super complicated, it can be dangerous if you're not experienced with electronics, so I'd recommend swapping it out if you're unsure.
