Why is my RAM maxed out when nothing seems to be running?

I'm having an issue with my laptop, a Zephyrus G16 that has 32GB of RAM. Even though I don't have many programs open, Task Manager shows that my RAM usage is completely maxed out. I checked and can't find any individual processes consuming that much memory. I also ran a virus scan using Windows Security, but it came back clean. I would appreciate any suggestions on what could be causing this.

You might want to run a malware scan with Malwarebytes as well, just to double-check for any hidden issues. Sometimes Windows Defender misses stuff!

It sounds like something is definitely using your RAM, but you might not be looking in the right places. After a reboot, it could work fine, but if the problem happens again, check if your printer driver might be leaking memory after each print job. It could have updated with Windows.

Make sure to close all open programs before running a system file check. Open Command Prompt and type `sfc /scannow`. This will check for any corrupt system files and may require a restart. Let me know what it finds!

I actually ran the command and it fixed some corrupt files! My RAM seemed fine after I rebooted, but I'm not convinced it's a permanent fix. I'll keep an eye on it.
