I have a setup with RAM that's advertised at 3466 MHz, but my Task Manager shows it's running at only 2400 MHz. I heard I might need to enable DOCP for my configuration, but isn't that considered overclocking? Is it safe to do? Here's my setup:
- Motherboard: Asus B450M-A Prime II AM4
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 4750G Pro at 3.6 GHz
- RAM: Kingston Fury RGB 8GB 3466 MHz DDR4 (x2)
- Storage: 480GB Kingston A400 SATA III SSD
- Case: PC case with 6 fans
- PSU: 550W Thermaltake LitePower

You need to go into your BIOS settings and enable DOCP. It's similar to XMP but tailored for AMD systems. Just make sure to save your settings after!
It’s technically overclocking, but don't worry, it’s safe. You just have to activate it in the BIOS with one click!
Thanks! I read that DOCP is the AMD version of XMP; good to know I'm on the right track!
