Why is my RAM showing 4800MHz instead of 6000MHz on startup?

Hey everyone, I've got a bit of an issue with my RAM speed. My PC boots up showing that it's only using 4800MHz, even though my RAM is rated for 6000MHz. I've made sure that EXPO is enabled, but it doesn't seem to be reflecting the correct speed. Any help would be appreciated!

Make sure to enable XMP in your BIOS if you haven’t. That should allow your RAM to run at its advertised speeds.

Have you tried updating your BIOS? Sometimes a new version can help with memory compatibility and speeds.

I did update it before enabling EXPO.

Check out CPUZ and look at the Memory tab to see what the DRAM frequency is reading. It should be showing around 3000MHz, as DDR is double data rate (so 3000MHz x 2 = 6000MHz). If it’s not hitting that, let us know your CPU, RAM, and motherboard specs.

I already have CPUZ, it shows DRAM Frequency around 3000 MHz but fluctuates a bit. Does that mean I'm okay? My setup is an Asus Tuf Gaming B850-Plus Wifi with an AMD Ryzen 9800x3d CPU, an XFX Mercury Radeon RX 9070 XT GPU, and G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo RGB 32 GB (2x16) DDR5-6000 CL30 RAM.
