I'm having an issue with my build where my RAM is locked at 2666MHz, even after enabling the XMP profile in the BIOS. I'm using a Ryzen 7 5800X with 32GB of DDR4 RAM rated for 3600MHz, installed on a Gigabyte B550M motherboard. Can anyone help me understand why my RAM isn't running at the expected speed?

It's odd that it's showing 2700MHz. If possible, try to capture a screenshot of your BIOS or system info, as that would help. Updating your BIOS might also resolve compatibility issues. But if you can only check the speed at work, no rush! Just keep experimenting when you can.
The Ryzen 7 5800X officially supports speeds up to 3200MHz, so start there. Enabling XMP usually sets everything correctly. After setting it to 3200MHz, you can test higher speeds like 3300MHz or 3400MHz later if it works. Just confirm you're making these adjustments in the BIOS.
Make sure your RAM is installed in slots 2 and 4 on your motherboard. Sometimes, the placement can affect the speeds. Also, you might want to try manually setting the speed in the BIOS to 3200MHz as a first step. Just curious, where are you checking the RAM speed?
