I've noticed a significant drop in my FPS in Red Dead Redemption 2 since the driver update in early March. Before the update, I was getting solid performance, but now I'm experiencing about a 15% decrease. For instance, while others are clocking around 70 FPS using DLAA, I'm only hitting 60. I even tried undervolting my card in hopes of reducing temperatures, which I managed to lower to around 70 degrees from the mid-70s, but sadly, it hasn't improved my performance at all. With DLSS on quality settings, people seem to achieve 95-100 FPS, while I'm stuck at around 80-85, and I've ensured everything is set to the same presets with the same conditions. I know my INNO3D X3 non-OC is a lower-tier card, but a 15% dip feels excessive, especially since it performed similarly to higher-end RTX 5080s for a good period of 15-20 hours. I could really use some help figuring out what's going on!

This might sound a bit odd, but are you playing in fullscreen mode or windowed? I used to experience similar FPS drops on older cards, especially with DX12 games. Just curious if that could be affecting your performance.
Have you thought about rolling back to an earlier driver? NVIDIA has had a reputation for driver problems lately, and it might help resolve your FPS drop. Just a suggestion!
What clock speeds are you running on your RTX 5080? Also, are you maxing out your settings in the game? When I test my card, there may be differences in performance based on those settings.
NVIDIA has acknowledged that their newer drivers are influenced by AI. Personally, I'm holding off on updates until there’s a game that absolutely requires it. Might be worth considering if you're facing issues with driver updates as well.
