Why is my RX 6600 struggling with FPS in Warzone?

I've just paired a new RX 6600 with a 7800X3D CPU and I'm seeing frame rates between 120 and 165 FPS in Warzone. However, my 99th percentile frame rate keeps dipping down to 20-50 FPS, which makes the gameplay feel really choppy. Any advice on improving this situation?

Sounds like your RX 6600 is struggling to keep up with your powerful CPU. I'm curious, what made you go for a CPU upgrade instead of a better GPU?

My previous 4080 died, and I grabbed the RX 6600 from a friend who wasn't using it. Just a temporary fix for now!

That GPU and CPU combo is quite interesting! Make sure to keep an eye on your temperatures and resource usage. Sometimes those dips can be caused by overheating or performance bottlenecks, especially if one component is working way harder than the other.

It's not surprising to see poor performance from a lower-end GPU like the RX 6600, especially with a high-end CPU. Have you considered upgrading your GPU again when you can? Might solve that performance dip!
