My PC has become incredibly slow, and I've discovered that my boot drive is maxed out at 100% usage, even though no programs seem to be actively using it. I checked the task manager, and the highest usage I can find is around 1MB/s. I've already run several malware scans and checked the disk's health, and everything looks fine. Are there any specific settings or issues that could be causing this problem? By the way, I'm using an NVMe SSD.

Check the specific model of your SSD. Some models are more prone to issues than others.
It might be possible that your SSD is failing. I recommend backing up your data and considering a replacement.
How much RAM do you have? If your RAM is low, you might be stuck in a permanent swap state, which can lead to high SSD usage.

I have 16GB of RAM, and my usage is around 50% when idle.
