Why is my SSD not showing up in BIOS after disabling CSM?

I've been trying to prepare my system for Windows 11 and disabled CSM in the BIOS settings. Since then, one of my SSDs, which is not the one carrying the OS, isn't detected at all. When I start my PC, it attempts to repair that drive, but I can't access it, and disk management won't open. However, the drive still shows up in file explorer. I'm using ASUS BIOS, if that helps.

It sounds like a BIOS update might fix the issue. Sometimes, updating the BIOS helps with drive detection problems after changes like disabling CSM. You can follow this guide here: [link to BIOS update guide]. Give that a shot if you haven't already!

I actually have the latest BIOS version already installed. Just updated it recently, but no luck.

When you disable CSM, it changes how your BIOS recognizes drives. Non-bootable drives might not show up in the boot order, which can be what you're experiencing. Instead of looking for it in the boot order, check other sections in the BIOS. Sometimes, UEFI doesn't list non-bootable drives, even if they're connected properly. Just to clarify, where exactly are you looking in the BIOS?

I checked the boot order, and I see the SSD is still not showing up at all even after toggling CSM. It's supposed to be a 2TB drive, but it's completely missing. Any ideas?
