Hey folks, I recently purchased a 1TB and a 4TB SSD from a less-known brand to enhance my computer's storage capacity. However, I'm running into an issue where the SSDs turn off during file transfers from my old HDD. After some investigation, I found that they seem to be overheating. Does anyone have suggestions on how to resolve this overheating issue? Thanks in advance!

Just out of curiosity, how did you realize it was an overheating issue? And how much did you pay for those SSDs?

I paid 54€ for the 1TB and 43€ for the 4TB.

It sounds like your SSDs are overheating, which shouldn't typically cause the whole PC to shut down. You might want to improve the airflow in your case or consider adding a dedicated cooler for the SSDs. Also, can you share more details about your PC specs and how you noticed the overheating?

I got them from AliExpress, and I’m not even sure of the brand. When they shut off, I can feel that they're really hot.
