I've been using my SSD for over two years, and lately, I've been experiencing some major slowdowns. Sometimes it downloads at around 500 MB/s, but then it drops dramatically to just a few megabytes or even kilobytes for about 5-10 minutes. This rollercoaster of speed is really frustrating! Now, I can barely load up YouTube or play any games without it freezing for a whole minute and becoming unresponsive. Is there something wrong with it?

Looks like it might be dead, buddy! You should definitely check if it's under warranty or consider getting a new one.
Sounds like you might just have a low-quality SSD. I've had a similar issue before, and now I only use that SSD for storage since it's not reliable for performance.
Wow, two years is a solid run for an SSD! Just keep in mind that many SSDs, especially those with QLC (Quad-Level Cell) memory, can have performance issues over time. It might be time to look for a replacement if it's causing these freezing problems.
Have you checked your internet connection? Sometimes slow read/write speeds can be confused with internet issues—make sure it's not that before you jump to conclusions!
