I'm noticing that my Windows 11 computer keeps gaining GBs of storage even when I'm not installing anything. I've been trying to delete files, but it doesn't seem to help. Is there a fix for this issue?

Have you checked your recycle bin lately? If you're deleting files but not emptying the bin, they still count against your storage. Also, check your storage settings under Windows - go to the Settings app, then System, and Storage to see what's really using up space. You can safely clear some temp files there too.
Before you freak out, remember that not all space is lost due to installations. Running updates, streaming, and other background tasks can also add files. If all else fails, disabling your internet temporarily might help prevent any new files from downloading.
Try clearing out your temp files with Disk Cleanup! It's generally safe, but watch out for your downloads folder as people often forget important stuff in there. Make sure to organize your files regularly, too.
It sounds like your computer might be accumulating files from auto-updates, temporary files, or even backups from devices like your phone. To better understand what's taking up space, try downloading WinDirStat. It gives a clear visual of your storage usage. If most of the space is from Windows Updates, you'll find those in the C:WindowsSoftwareDistribution folder.
