Why is the GNOME Software Store so slow on Arch Linux?

I installed Arch Linux on my laptop and I've noticed that the GNOME Software Store is really slow compared to KDE's Discover app. It takes ages to find and download Flatpaks, which makes me prefer using the command line for native installs instead. Is this a bug, or is there a reason why it might be running so slowly?

Gnome Software relies on PackageKit for managing installations, which is designed to support various package managers like dnf and apt. Unfortunately, PackageKit isn't the fastest option out there, and this can cause slowdowns depending on your specific distro setup. It might be worth checking if there are any optimizations you can make!

I actually don't have PackageKit installed; I'm only using it for Flatpak stuff through the GNOME store.

Honestly, if it's that slow for you, why not just stick with Discover? It might offer a smoother experience for your Flatpaks instead of dealing with the slowdowns in the GNOME Software Store.

Good point—I'm just trying to figure out why the default GNOME App Store is so sluggish in the first place.
