Hey everyone! My manager took it upon themselves to do one of my laptop repairs, and now I'm faced with an issue. There's this annoying purple line at the bottom of the screen, and everything else is just a blank white. I'm wondering if I need to get a new LCD or what might have caused all this. Here's a link to the photo for reference: https://imgur.com/a/T3plVIU.

It sounds like it could be one of two things: either the new screen was faulty from the start, or it was removed while the battery was still connected, which can cause damage. I'd recommend reaching out to IT, as they should handle this type of issue.
I can see how frustrating this is, especially if you're being blamed for it. Since you're the technician, it's essential to figure out whether it was a faulty screen or if your boss damaged it during the repair. Keeping a log of these incidents could really help you out in the future!
