I recently switched internet carriers, and now I'm seeing a WiFi logo with an X over it. It won't let me connect to the internet, and I'm confused about what's going on. I also changed the name of my modem, which might have something to do with it. Can anyone help me understand this?

Could it just be a temporary issue? Sometimes it shows that when the modem is on but there's no active internet connection yet. Give it a bit and see if it resolves itself!
That X typically means there's a problem with your internet connection. Since you switched carriers, the issue might be a security mismatch between your saved settings and the new router's setup. Try resetting your WiFi settings on the device and reconnecting to the network fresh. Make sure your password and security settings (like WPA2 vs. WPA3) are correct. It should help clear things up!
Yeah, I had the same issue when I switched providers. Just resetting everything worked for me.
