Why isn’t my motherboard’s built-in Wi-Fi showing up?

I'm using the Gigabyte Eagle x870 Wi-Fi motherboard, but I'm having trouble connecting to Wi-Fi without using an Ethernet cable. When I check the options, it only shows Bluetooth and not the Wi-Fi option. I plugged in the IO port adapter that came with it, but that didn't help either. In the device manager, I see 'Realtek PCIe 2.5GbE Family Controller' listed, and I've already downloaded the Realtek LAN driver from the Gigabyte website. Am I missing something here?

You might want to download the drivers directly from this link: https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/X870-EAGLE-WIFI7/support#dl. Make sure to select the right OS and look for any Wi-Fi drivers listed there!

Make sure you installed the correct Wi-Fi drivers. Sometimes the LAN driver isn't the same as the Wi-Fi driver, so check Gigabyte's support page for anything specifically labeled as Wi-Fi drivers.

I looked, but I didn't find anything called 'Wi-Fi' on their site. Just the LAN driver, is it possible that the Wi-Fi driver is included in a different package?

Have you checked if your computer is in airplane mode? If it's activated, it will disable the Wi-Fi options and only show Bluetooth. Just a quick fix to check!
