Why isn’t my new Crucial T500 SSD showing up in BIOS or Disk Utility?

Hey folks, I'm having some trouble with my new Crucial T500 SSD. It's just not recognized in BIOS or Windows Diskpart/Disk Utility. For context, I already have two M.2 NVMe SSDs that are working great in my B550 Aorus Elite AX V2 motherboard. Here's what I've tried so far: I've updated the BIOS, reset the BIOS settings, and tested the T500 in another rig where it works fine. Both of my existing M.2s run perfectly in my setup, and I've also tried the T500 on its own, but it still doesn't show up. Crucial's website says my motherboard and T500 are compatible, so I'm pretty stumped. Any help would be appreciated—it doesn't seem like the issue lies with the SSD or the motherboard!

Just a heads up, your motherboard specs show it supports a maximum of two M.2 drives. You mentioned both of your existing SSDs are working, so I'm curious where you installed the T500. Did you remove the old drive to make room for it?

Sorry for the confusion! I actually bought the 2TB Crucial drive to replace one of my 500GB M.2s for extra storage. I took out one of the old drives (the one without Windows on it) and put the Crucial in its place.

Have you checked if the new SSD is initialized? Sometimes, if it’s not set up correctly, it won’t show up in the BIOS or utility tools.

Unfortunately, I can’t initialize it if it’s not being detected in BIOS or Diskpart at all.
