I recently bought a Samsung 990 EVO 2TB SSD to replace my old Toshiba M.2 drive, but I'm having trouble getting it recognized. My PC specs include a Ryzen 5 2600, 32GB RAM, an Asrock B450 Steel Legend motherboard, and a GTX 1080 Ti. The SSD isn't showing up in the BIOS or in the OS at all. I've tried it in different M.2 slots, and my motherboard supports PCIe 3.0 x4, which should be compatible with the SSD, as it supports 4.0 x4 and 5.0 x2. I've looked for solutions online, but nothing seems to work. Any advice would be appreciated!

How do you know the SSD is actually working? Did the seller provide any proof of it being functional?
If all else fails, I’d suggest getting a replacement. It might not be worth the hassle if the SSD could be faulty.
Yeah, I think I’ll return it tomorrow if I can't get it to work.
Have you checked if it's visible in Windows Disk Manager when booting from your old drive? Also, when you boot from a Windows USB, can you see it there during installation?
Nope, it doesn't show up at all from my old drive, and it’s not visible when booting from the USB either.
The seller showed it working on his laptop, so I'm fairly certain it's fine. Plus, I can return it if I have issues.
