I recently connected a new SSD using a new SATA cable, plugged it into the SATA port and the PSU, but it's not showing up even in Disk Management. I'm a bit stumped!

Not much info here! Is this a desktop setup? How many drives do you have? Also, have you checked if the SATA cable works with a different drive? Is this SSD new or has it been used in another computer before? The more details, the better we can help!

Yes, it's a desktop, and this is my third drive. I've used this SSD before on a Linux laptop without issues, but I think it's still got Linux on it.

Make sure that both the SATA and power connections are secure between the drive and the motherboard. If everything seems tight but the SSD still doesn't show up, it might be faulty.

Have you tried testing the SSD in another machine? That might help determine if the drive itself is the issue.

I’d love to, but I don’t have another machine to test it on!
