Why Isn’t My Power Bank Charging My Phone?

I'm having issues with my power bank. When I press the button, it shows that it's fully charged, but it doesn't transfer power to my phone when I try to use it. I suspect that the larger USB-A port might be faulty since it only seems to work when I press it really hard together for a temporary connection. Any ideas on what might be wrong?

It might be a good idea to check the port for any debris or damage. The cable might not be fully seated, or if your power bank is older, it could have a low output port. Have you dropped it recently? That could affect functionality too.

The power bank is about a year old, but I do tend to drop things a lot.

Got it! Any tips on how to check for obstructions in the port?

Have you tried pressing the button after connecting your phone? It could be that the power bank isn't outputting power until you activate it. Sometimes, they require a little nudge to start transferring juice.

Yes, I pressed the button afterward, but it still isn't working.

That sounds frustrating! Maybe your power bank is just a bit finicky.
