I'm trying to get my new Samsung 990 Evo Plus 2TB NVMe M.2 drive to show up in the BIOS, but it's not being recognized. My motherboard is an ASRock AB350 PRO4, and I originally installed the drive in the first M.2 slot before switching it to the second slot, but still no luck. Is my motherboard too outdated for this drive, and would a BIOS update potentially fix this issue?

Yeah, definitely check your BIOS version! Sometimes these boards need a firmware update to recognize newer drives. Also, make sure that the first M.2 slot is configured correctly in BIOS to use PCIe mode for NVMe drives. If none of this works, double-check the connections and ensure the drive isn't defective.
It looks like your motherboard has two M.2 slots: the first one supports NVMe drives, while the second one is limited to SATA SSDs only. If your drive isn't showing up in the first slot either, then you'll want to check if your motherboard's BIOS has the latest updates. Sometimes an update can add better support for newer drives like yours.
