Why won’t my 3600MHz RAM run faster than 2400MHz?

Hey everyone! I recently upgraded my GPU from a 5600G to a 5800XT and bought a set of 3600MHz RAM. However, I noticed that the RAM speed was initially set to 2400MHz. I tried changing it to 3600MHz, but then my display won't load at all. I even tried lowering it to 3350MHz, and still nothing worked. Does anyone have an idea why this is happening?

Are you sure you're not mixing this new RAM with any old sticks? Also, where did you install the new RAM? It might be an issue with compatibility or slot placement.

Nope, I'm only using the new RAM and I don't have any old sticks. I also only have two slots available and it works perfectly fine at 2400MHz.

Are you setting the RAM speed manually to 3600 MT/s, or are you just toggling XMP? If you're just trying to set it manually, some motherboards handle XMP profiles better and might not support manual settings if they aren't compatible.

I'm setting it manually because I'm using a B550S motherboard from a lesser-known brand and I don't think it supports XMP.
