Why Won’t My Computer Recognize My New Hard Drive?

Hey everyone! I recently got some great advice on which hard drive to buy, and I finally installed it. However, my computer isn't recognizing it at all. I've just slid it into the slot and secured it with a screw, but I'm wondering if I need to do something else, like connect additional cables or if I may have installed it incorrectly. Here's a link to my setup if it helps: https://imgur.com/a/BziSUlF. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

It looks like you might need to initialize the hard drive in disk management. Here's a guide that can help you with that: [Initializing New Disks](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/storage/disk-management/initialize-new-disks). It’s a common step that many people overlook after installing new hardware.
