I've been having a major issue with my Ethernet connection on Windows 11. My PC keeps reverting to WiFi, and despite trying a bunch of solutions, nothing seems to work. Here's what I've tried:
1. Turning off WiFi to see if the Ethernet would connect—no luck.
2. Updating the drivers under "Network adapters"—still nothing.
3. Reseting Winsock with the commands "netsh winsock reset" and "netsh int ip reset" via Command Prompt didn't help, even after a restart.
4. Attempted resetting both IPv6 and IPv4 settings in Command Prompt—no effect.
5. In the Network and Sharing Center, I noticed an Unidentified network under Ethernet, but nothing I tried there worked.
6. Reset my network settings completely—still no success.
7. Bought a new ethernet cable, and that didn't fix the issue either.
8. Got a new router and modem—same problem.
9. Had my ISP send someone out; the Internet is a bit faster, but Ethernet is still down.
10. Manually configured the IPv4 settings with the IP address, subnet mask, default gateway, and DNS servers, but nothing changed.
11. Followed various tips I found online about fixing IP issues—still nada.
12. The troubleshooter said everything is fine.
The last thing I noticed was an error saying "No DHCP Server was Found". Can someone help me figure this out? It's driving me insane!

Check if it's possibly a driver issue or the Ethernet port itself on your PC. Make sure all drivers are updated, and consider trying a USB to Ethernet adapter. If that works, then it’s probably a problem with your Ethernet port.
It sounds like it could be an issue with your Ethernet port or a specific setting on your PC blocking the connection. If possible, try connecting another device, like a laptop, to see if Ethernet works there. If it does, then the issue is likely with your PC.
Have you tried connecting directly to the modem rather than going through the router? That could help narrow down where the issue lies.
