Why won’t my GPU fully seat on the left side?

I'm having trouble getting my GPU to fully slot into my case on the left side. I have a Fractal Design Meshify C case, using an ASUS Prime RTX 5070 GPU, and an ASUS B350F Gaming motherboard. The right side seems to snap into place properly and locks, but when I try to push the GPU further in on the left side, it just slides out. I can screw it in, but I'm worried that the connection might not be complete. I've got images on Imgur that show the situation better.

It sounds like your GPU is actually seated well enough; sometimes it can feel like it's not all the way in. Just try giving it a gentle push on the left side and then tighten the screw. That should help secure it more firmly on that side.

I checked those images you posted! They really illustrate the issue. It does look like the GPU is seated somewhat, but pulling it outwards might reveal how well it’s locked on that side.

Honestly, don't stress too much about it! As long as the screw on the left is tightening correctly, that side should be locked in place. I had a similar experience with my last build and everything turned out fine.

Glad to hear that! I remember my old 1080 seemed to lock in on both sides too, but once I got the screws in, it all worked out. Just go for it!

It's crucial to check that everything lines up properly. Make sure the metal plate’s gap aligns with the motherboard slots. If you feel confident, you could try tightening it more and see if there’s any give, but proceed carefully to avoid damaging anything!

Good advice! Just ensure you don’t over-tighten. It sounds like it’s seated; just give it that little upward nudge to get the screw in.

From what I see in the images, your GPU does look pretty seated. The back is secured by the screw, and the latch will hold the front in place. Just double-check before powering on to avoid frying your setup!

Excellent point! I’ll keep an eye on that before booting. Just want to be sure everything's right.
