Why won’t my iPad connect to WiFi or hotspots?

I'm having trouble connecting my iPad to WiFi or any hotspots. Every time I try to enter the password for a network, I just get a message saying "unable to join network" and then I can only click dismiss. I've already attempted a few troubleshooting steps: resetting network settings, deleting my VPN, rebooting the router, restarting my iPad, and even leaving it on airplane mode for a while. I'm not sure what else to do to fix this issue.

First off, how old is your iPad? Sometimes older models can have hardware issues. Check if you can find the MAC address in Settings > General > About. Also, make sure you see a Bluetooth address as well.

If it’s a 9th generation iPad, then that’s relatively new. If you see a Bluetooth address but not a MAC address, that’s concerning. You might want to check if there's a software update that could fix connectivity issues.
