Hey everyone, I'm dealing with a really frustrating problem and I'm hoping you can help! I have a Samsung Odyssey G8 OLED 4K monitor and when I connect my PC directly to the monitor, everything works perfectly. But when I try to use a KVM switch, the monitor just shows 'no signal'. I've gone through multiple cables and different ports, changed all possible settings, but no luck.
Here are some extra details: The KVM switch I have claims to support 4K at 240Hz, specifically it's the EVATEK 8K@60Hz Displayport KVM Switch that supports 2 monitors and 2 computers with USB 3.0. Even though I've tried lowering the resolution and refresh rate it still doesn't work. Interestingly, this KVM functions perfectly with other standard 4K monitors, just not my OLED one. Plus, I've ensured that the monitor firmware is completely up to date. If anyone has experience with using KVM switches with this type of monitor or any suggestions, I'd love to hear them!

First thing I'd suggest is to drop your output resolution to something lower like 720p at 60Hz. If that connects, you might be facing a bandwidth issue. Once you get it working at a low setting, gradually increase the resolution and refresh rate until it blanks out again. Check the bandwidth requirements for each resolution online; sometimes it works but only with specific display compression. Finding a reliable KVM can be a pain, so it's worth checking into!
The KVM works fine with my 2K ultrawide, but how can I adjust the output resolution if my computer isn't even detecting the monitor?
