Why Won’t My Laptop Fans Turn On After Switching to Linux?

I've been using CachyOS on my HP Victus laptop for around two weeks now, and I've noticed that the fans don't seem to turn on even after I switched to Linux. Usually, I play games with a laptop cooler, so my temperatures are typically low. However, I recently played Hades without the cooler, and my CPU temperature shot up to 204°F! I'm currently on BIOS version F.26, but I can't find any fan control settings in the BIOS or detect anything using lm-sensors or coolercontrol. Any suggestions on how to resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated!

You might want to try installing `confure` and see if you can make use of Omencore to manage your fan speeds better. You can find it on GitHub [here](https://github.com/theantipopau/omencore). It could help get your fans spinning again!

There are several fan control options available at the kernel level. It might be a good idea to check which one you're currently using, and if necessary, try reinstalling the drivers for it. This could potentially resolve your fan issue.

Could you elaborate on how to check and reinstall the fan control drivers? I'm having a bit of trouble understanding that process.
