I have an MSI laptop that ran out of battery before I could plug it in. Now that I've connected it to the charger, it still won't turn on. I've attempted a reset by holding the power button, used what I think is a reset hole with a paper clip, and even unplugged and re-plugged the battery. The charging light on one of my two charger ports is on, but the keyboard isn't lighting up, so I suspect it's not just a screen issue. I did try leaving it to charge for about 25 minutes without touching it. Any ideas on what might be wrong?

Try letting it charge overnight. Sometimes if the battery goes below a certain level, laptops won’t boot until it's charged quite a bit. Just leaving it plugged in for an extended period can help.
Remove the battery, hold down the power button for around 20 seconds, then plug in the power cable and turn the laptop on. Once it's on, try inserting the battery again. This process often fixes startup issues.
I tried that, and the laptop still didn't turn on. By 'power up,' do you mean the screen should be on? Because it isn't.
Have you tried removing the battery and leaving it out for about 10 minutes? That could help reset things before you reconnect it.
No, I haven’t tried that yet. I’ll give it a shot!
I did that, but it didn’t seem to help.

I put it on charger right when it died and have been charging on and off all day. I guess I’ll just leave it plugged in overnight and see!
