I recently found an old PC at home and decided to give it a try. It powered on successfully, so I wanted to upgrade the RAM. However, I'm facing an issue: it doesn't turn on with the 2 GB stick when I try to use it alongside a 1 GB stick. But when I only use the 1 GB stick, it works fine. Can you help me figure out what's going on?

It sounds like the problem might be with that 2 GB RAM stick. Since the computer turns on with the 1 GB stick, it's possible that the 2 GB stick is faulty. You could try cleaning the contacts on the 2 GB stick or testing it in another computer to confirm if it's really the issue.
Also, make sure to check your motherboard's maximum RAM capacity. If it's an old model, it might not support more than a certain amount of RAM. Given that you mentioned it's an old PC, it might be limited to a maximum of 8 GB, but just confirm what you're currently using.
