Why won’t my PC boot with my SATA SSD connected?

I've had a SATA SSD installed in my PC for a couple of months, but lately, it has been causing issues. When I connect the SSD, my computer gets stuck in a loop on the motherboard screen and won't boot into Windows. The SSD is a 2018 Samsung Evo. Does anyone have an idea on how I can troubleshoot or fix this problem?

First, try checking the BIOS settings. Make sure that the boot order is correctly set – your main boot drive should be first. Sometimes, if the SSD is misconfigured, it can prevent your PC from recognizing the boot drive properly.

I checked the boot order, and it seems fine. My NVMe drive with Windows is set as the first option, and there's nothing else conflicting.

It might be possible that the SSD is failing. If it’s old or has been showing signs of issues, it might be on its way out. You could try connecting it to another system or using a different SATA port if you have one to see if it makes a difference.

What do you mean by 'failing'? Like, is there a way to check its health or something?
