I recently built my PC using an MSI A620M-E motherboard and 2x16GB Corsair Vengeance RAM at 6000MHz. The issue I'm facing is that the PC only boots successfully with one RAM stick installed in slot 1. When I try to boot with both sticks inserted, I see red and yellow lights indicating CPU and DRAM failure. I've tested each stick individually in slot 1, and they work fine. However, neither stick works in slot 2, which leads me to believe that there's an issue with that slot. I've adjusted settings in the BIOS, including enabling and disabling EXPO, updating the BIOS, and even playing around with SOC voltage and VDDDP settings. I did manage to get the lights to turn off for a moment with both sticks, but then the system freezes right before Windows loads. Any ideas on what could be wrong?

It sounds like there might be a problem with the second RAM slot on your motherboard. If both sticks work perfectly in slot 1 but fail in slot 2, that slot could be defective. Have you checked for any physical obstructions or damage around that slot? Also, try reseating the RAM sticks firmly in both slots if you haven't already. Sometimes a little dust or a poor connection can cause issues.
I had a similar issue once, and it turned out I needed to update my BIOS again to the latest version. If you haven't done that yet, it might help!
