Why Won’t My PC Turn On After BIOS Update?

My PC isn't powering on at all, not even a fan spin or light. I tried using a screwdriver to start it and double-checked that the power switch cables are connected properly. I've also unplugged and replugged all PSU cables, yet nothing happens when I hit the power button. This PSU worked fine when I updated the BIOS to support my new 9000 series CPU, and the BIOS flashback light indicated the update was successful. Any insights on what might be wrong? Here are my specs: 9800X3D, Sapphire 9070 XT Nitro+, Asus Rog Strix B650E-F Gaming Wifi, 1000W Corsair RMx PSU, H150i Elite Capellix XT AIO, Corsair Vengeance 64gb DDR5-6400 CL32, and a WD Black SN850x 2TB M.2 SSD.

It sounds like a PSU issue. If you have access to another PSU, try swapping it out to see if the problem persists. It’s surprising but sometimes even new PSUs can fail right out of the box.

That's rough! But hey, at least it was on sale, right? Hopefully, it’s just a swap and not something with the motherboard.

Just to double-check, did you install the BIOS update with the motherboard out of the case? That can sometimes cause issues if things are shorting out incorrectly.

Yeah, I did the update with just the mobo and PSU, no components in the case.
