Wi-Fi Stopped Working After Adding a Hard Drive – Need Help!

I've recently installed an extra hard drive in my MSI B850M Gaming Plus WIFI6E Motherboard and now my Wi-Fi is not working at all. It doesn't appear in the Network settings and I'm unable to find any available connections. In Device Manager, I see the RZ616 Wi-Fi 6E 160MHz has an error symbol, and it states: "This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12) If you want to use this device, you will need to disable one of the other devices on this system." I've tried several fixes, including checking the Wi-Fi antenna connection, updating the BIOS, reinstalling the drivers, resetting network settings, and even physically removing the hard drive – but I still keep getting the Code 12 error. Any advice would be appreciated!

You might want to check this guide for a troubleshooting step. Sometimes a simple reset can solve issues like this. Here's the link: [Check This Out](https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc/s/tZJKUveS83). Good luck!

Thank you for looking into this! It was fixed by resetting the BIOS.

Try resetting your BIOS settings to see if that reallocates resources for your Wi-Fi. Sometimes fast boot might skip this. It’s also worth checking if you can try different SATA ports for the hard drive, and see if any of your other M.2 slots are occupied. Also, let me know what CPU you have, as different ones can expose different amounts of CPU lanes to your board.

Oh my god... I can't believe it was as simple as pressing a button on the back of the computer. I didn't even know that was there or that you could reset the BIOS. Embarrassing... Thank you so so so so much!!!
