Will a 2070 Super be sufficient for my 7800X3D PC build this year?

Hey folks! I'm building a new PC with the intention of using it for at least five years. I've got a Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor and I'm combining it with an X670E motherboard, just to keep my options open for a CPU upgrade around 2027. For the moment, I'm thinking about using a GTX 2070 Super for about a year until I'm ready to upgrade my graphics card. Do you think this GPU can handle games like World of Warcraft, CS2, Valorant, Forza Horizon, and V Rising at low-to-medium settings on my Xiaomi QHD Wide 1440p 180Hz monitor? Thanks a bunch!

You'll be more than fine! Your specs are above the recommended requirements for those games, and they usually list specs for 1080p. So in terms of performance, you're set even if you're gaming at 1440p!

Thanks! By the way, do you think the X670E motherboard is a bit overkill for now?

Not really! It gives you great future-proofing for upgrades down the line, so it's a solid choice.

Yep, the 2070 Super can handle it. No worries there!

Yeah, the 2070 Super should handle those games pretty well! I’m currently on a 3060 with a Ryzen 9800X3D while I save up for my upgrade, and it runs fine. Most of the games you mentioned are optimized well, so it should definitely last you for at least another year without issues. No need to stress too much!
